Not long ago we had a thread named GTS couldn't spank the RSpec GT, 2 years on with a slightly modified tune of 351 and upgraded launch control software reads GTS spanks new GTF?

Looking at the GTS accelerating figures, is it me or have the GTS improved since the GTF was released??

Entertaining would be an understatement and would be talked about for years!
This will be a great watch if true and even better if they put the F6 and say an R8 in the mix. My money would be on the GTS also

13.1? Did they launch in 3rd gear? How disgusting. I don't know why Ford bothers to give them manual testers, these journos always struggle. I'm sure when Drive requested a GTS, HSV knew exactly what they'd be comparing it against and made sure it was an auto.

GTF is tight and not even run in yet

Doesn't the GT look good, especially for something thats 6 years old. Sorry but the C'dore will not look as fresh in another 4 years. Already looking tired.

But 1 point. IF the GT-F did beat the GTS in most aspects (it does in alot), that would be disastrous for HSV.

Considering its $19,000 price difference AND the fact it is the new model, the fact that the GT still isn't spanked by the GTS is a great thing. The figures the journos are stating are bordering on straw splitting and a personal preference.

Exactly. And we know how tight the Tremec gear shifts are when new, and that they take quite a while to loosen up a bit. Then add the driver factor.

They then compare it to an automatic GTS that has been around for a while.

Hardly a level comparison at all.

Both cars look good but the GT is the tired looking one, inside and out but its to be expected being a 6 year old model and all I guess. Im not sure where you are getting the price difference from arent people paying 85k and up for these new GT's?

I've just found after more than 8000km on my TR6060 that I can finally grab 2nd gear at pace without it crunching.

I don't know why everyone gets hung up on these reviews. Does anyone give a crap when they're out in their FPV, that there is an HSV out there that got better 0-100 times in a review from a questionable source?

I don't think about any other cars when I'm in my car. If I did, I'd sell it and get the one I'm thinking about. But I don't, I'm too busy stopping my boner from becoming a steering lock.

Test the Auto GT-F against the GTS. Its ridiculous the amount of one sided bias garbage about the GTS. the GT-f has more power then the GT-R spec. so it should be quicker. the GT-R spec did 0-100km/h in 4.5 seconds (manual) the GT-F manual should be a few tenths quicker!! you cant tell me journos aren't biased towards Ford.

Am sorry .... I should have put in big letter .... "In my opinion"

The VF has already aged bad (in my opinion). The interior of the GT is still very good (in my opinion). Actually I think it is a great interior to live with everyday (in my opinion). Appreciate your opinion but

And as far as price goes ... as also stated by Mr Dowling the Sun today, and on every other site included Fords etc

GT RRP $77,950
GTS RRP $96,500

..... and that is what the GT has sold for. All of them except for the last few where some dealers are trying to screw more.

Just a bit of trivia .... the GT was sold out in 4 days. A total of 550. The GTS has sold 1100 in a total of 12 or so months.

No need to be sorry everyone is allowed an opinion. People arent paying RRP for GTS's they can now be had drive away for less than the RRP price. Wow the GTS has been out 12 months already? Time flies it sure doesnt feel like it haha

Out of interest how many GT's has FPV sold in the last 12 months?
