What is the cost per liter of the fuel in Aus for the premium 100? In addition how much does it cost to fill an entire tank?

I think at 10% engine wear wouldn't be affected.
Consumption will increase by less than 3%

$1.50-1.60ish, depends on tank size. Say 70L = 18.5 US Gallons. Bit over $100 AUD to fill a tank. Not as cheap as USA but not like Europe lol.

Who'll use 100 octane?

...anyone with a ratty old VN or rusty EA Falcon or early Toyota Corolla or Hyundai Excel with a big wing on the back...it'll have to add at least 20 or 30 horsepower...

The number of cars on the road that actually need 100 octane fuel could be counted on one hand...There's a sucker born every minute...

I know of a guy with an old Laverda Jota Italian motorcycle...he can't even ride it on pump fuel. When it was made in Italy in the mid seventies, premium petrol was 115 octane...

Nah, that one is a metro servo, i went there yesterday, no 100 premium on any of the bowsers.
Closest united servo to that is further up Canterbury road at roselands... But they dont sell 100 premium there!
Better check the website.

Just filled mine with premium 100, talk about serious fuel usage. The range is dropping about 5 kms every 2kms and then it went from 543kms to 506kms and still dropping rapidly fast.

Speaking of which, can anyone remember what the octane level of the old "super" petrol that we had before unleaded?

Just interested to know.
