yeah, he was also asking about gardening tips, weather forecasts and the correct method of assembling a fruit basket that would suit the decor in his lounge room without upsetting the ambiance. Next week they are going antiquing.

Even then you won't know if some have been deleted. It stinks to me like she's panicking that you are getting a little too curious about what's going on. She's had to think up a reason for so much secretive communication with Larry and that's the best she could come up with.

If Larry was really interested in 'drinks and stuff' on the weekend, why did he cancel the regular BBQ? And why would her buying you a gold chain have anything to do with him? Asking about 'another chick' was he? Does this chick have a name like her other friends?
Very suss....

Sorry dude but that's the oldest trick in the book. When there's suspicion, garnish sympathy. This has been going on for centuries mate and I can tell you now, there is more than meets the eye. Either Larry has had an attack of conscience or they are doing each other, there is something there.

Really, how much time do you think it takes to organise a gold chain?
Girlfriend: "I wanna buy XR6 661 a chain for the drinks night"
Larry: "Why?"
Girlfriend: "Because he's my boyfriend and I love him so much"
Larry: "Oh"
Girlfriend: "Yeah".
Larry: "Buy him a gold one, it'll match the oxygen sensor in his ford"
Girlfriend: "Good Point"
Larry: "Yeah"
Girlfriend: "OK Bye Bye"
Larry: "Yeah"

See, when you play it out its pretty stupid but mate, it's a load of BS. What girlfriend wouldn't jump at a chance for a 5 star meal etc? Most women love a fuss being made over them, and would seldom turn their boyfriend down if everything is fine.

I would confront Larry and tell him that you are breaking it off with your girlfriend because she just confessed everything to you. Then I'd tell him that you want to hear what he has to say on the matter. You should also adopt an angry approach as though he really has something to prove to you to try and dissolve the situation; not mad or violent just sort of north of peeved.
Play along and if he stalls tell him, "mate, msn, hundreds of text messages, phone calls; what, you didn't think I'd suspect something?" Stall him until he blubbers out like a lovestruck idiot as all weak people do and then you can approach your girlfriend and do the same to her after Larry gives you the story.
One last reminder, don't feel bad, she is a moron for falling for a dog of a mate and they deserve to live in suspicion together. Be confident too mate, that is the only thing they cannot take away from you because you have done nothing wrong.

Yea, LTD is right...

There is NO way a surprise event takes up so much time to organise.
dozens of texts PLUS msn plus whatever....she would have told you she was helping Larry out with chick issues even to cover up the fact that something else was going on.
Looks like she was lulled in to a false sense of thinking she was ok and then got spooked when Larry mentioned something to her.
Yep...the tracks will be covered now though...unless she's REALLY dumb (kinda sounds a bit that way sorry dude) she may have left the messages on her phone.
If you probe a bit more, you would probably find one lie will be undone by another. Lying is extremely hard to pull of convincingly because quite simply, its a story made up and we tend to go overboard on trying to convince people its true because we know its not. Then one bit of the story doesn't line up with another and you see that and it'll all come crashing down....
Sit her down....its time for a heart to heart interrogation mate

Why would she be hiding it so much if that's all it was... IMO it's probably BS mate. At least the situation has been broached, dive in and find out what is going on...

good luck

Plenty of good advice on here for you. But, they've been sprung and they both know it. Sorry, as heart breaking as it maybe for you, it's over. And I can guarantee if you end it with her, she'll be straight round to Larry's house or visa versa.

If all you said was that you saw the message about the BBQ being cancelled, and she got that defensive, then they are as guilty as hell.

Get rid of them both. ASAP.

MSN stores a chat log on the computer you are using it from. Don't need to be logged in to have a look at the conversations she has been having with him.

Not sounding good for you mate. They've been busted fair and square by the sound of it. I've been where you are and will offer you one piece of advice only. Don't get angry, call names, make up stories to catch them out etc. The trust is already gone therefore the relationship is already doomed. I know it's hard to do but take it like a man and walk away strong, in the future you will be glad you did. And as for the mate, cut him off (permanantly), getting cold and quiet will freak him out far more than a 2 minute scrap will.

Yep same sorta thing happened to me, spent all her time talking to this other guy, would hardly make much time for me, and then eventually he started causing fights between us, one day i confronted her about it all and just told me they were mates, called her up one day to see if she wanted to get out and do something and her friends answers and tells me shes rooting somebody, and then lets me hear it all. It wasnt worth my trouble at all, lucky it had only been 3 months, cut my loses and i haven't looked back.

The story she told you sounds like BS, like others have said, try to probe into it a bit more, get face to face with your mate, and tell him you know everything, and get his side of the story out, then you'll know what happened, then confront her about it.

Every one has the same opinion - old cynics we've all been through this and we all agree - ditch them and one day you'll be using your story to help another innocent young fella with the same problem. no doubt.

**good on ya Troppo** you're experienced in this crap too hey... hah hah.

Yeah but you can manually turn this off, but yeah always good to get to the facts than to just go and knock the guys block off.
i was thinking that if it kept going on, prepose to her and see what she says if you cant think of anything else

But yeah if you new the trust was there i would say to go and ask her straight up, or ask your mate, it may be about 5mins of pain but it would let you sleep easier at night.
Your not the only one that has had this happen to ya mate so dont think your alone.

The old fashioned bloke I am......

The truth! Sit her down and tell her what is on your mind. That the SMS/MSN thing has you more than a little concerned.
(not over the phone or txt, in person. You have to be a real cold heart to be able to lie to someone’s face)

No need to jump about, scream or yell, just nice easy and calm. By playing it 'low key' you are not going to cause a big issue if it does turn out to be nothing. Plus it shows that you have control over your feelings etc.
If she is the right one and feels for you as you do for her, she will respond with the same honesty and level with you.

Trying to trap her, or reading through the phone etc is the stuff of 15 year olds. If you truly 'know' this girl/woman, you should be able to know what is real or fake.

As for the 'mate' Larry; rock up to his place with a six pack and tell him you need to have a chat.
Same rules apply, calm and cool, but you can be a bit more forceful.
No treats of violence etc, just tell him you need to fill in the gaps.

From there, it will depend on the results of the two conversations.

Mate just take em both down with ya, But first you need to accept it's over

Let ya close friends know what you think Larry is doing behind your back

Have a chat to Larry, ask him exactly how long he has been a dog **** for, Make her end it but don't give her a reason she can use to justify it to others and make you look like the a-hole, you want to come out smelling like roses, the one who did nothing wrong and got shafted buy ya best mate and your girlfriend.

either that or just brake up with ya girlfriend for above reason Give her a dildo as a present before you leave, She may look at your strange, that's all right just smile and walk out.

don the steel cap boots go over to Larry's had him a bag of ice than kick him square in the twig and berry's and put the little C***t out of the game for a month or so. The only enjoyment larry will be getting is from the Ice and the only enjoyment ya Ex will be getting is well not from Larry.

There is a lot of crap in this thread (including my previous post) and all threads like this. The fact is you don't trust her, if you did you would not have started this thread. Regardless if she is or is not in the wrong does not matter, if she doesn't have your trust end it.
Yours sincerely,
Dr Phil.

If she was helping Larry hook up with her friend, she would have told you when all the texting was taking place. Bad enough your mate is probably making moves on your girl, but your girlfriend is much worse for letting him! If she was faithful, she'd nip it in the bud and tell him it's not gonna happen.

How is it worse for her to let him crack onto her? Mates shouldn't pull acts like that, neither is worse then the other. The only time it is ok to make a move on a bird that is taken is if you don't know her other half.

Is it ok then?? I would have thought "making a move" on anyone who is taken is wrong. Surely there is plenty of girls to guys out there!

I probably worded that wrong, but it is ok in my books to sleep with a chick that is taken if I don't know who by. That might sound bad, but they are the ones being unfaithful, not I.

Well if she is taken and fancies you, you don't know she is taken....and you are single...then I agree! Life is too short. Have fun and move on!!

Yeah I know that sounds bad too! but that's life.
