Big rear spoilers on a front wheel drive car. Like you really need the rear downforce!

Different people different modifications, some want power, some want looks and others just have no idea. Modifying a car is up to individual taste so in my opinion there is no rice just differences in taste. :voldar02:

Rice is the main staple for the Japenese/Chinese and this is where "rice" cars come from.

I guess it probably originated from the term "Rice Burner"

Aside from being illegal, technically it would increase your emissions (air filter has oil in it, sucks air through, oil particles in air) and most of the time they are extremely loud and acomplish nothing that a plumb back wouldn't.

So the LTDHO is rice because I have vented BOV and mesh???

What if I need it beause a plumb back doesn't flow enough and causes the supercharger to brake and the belts to strip????

Well, if being rice means I have 361 driveable rwkw, then I guess she's rice. I'd have rice before 200rwkw anyday!

You can't class any car as rice, it's the idiots who drive and modify them, these are the same idiots who buy many and varied cars and turn them into a crime aginst god. A 154kw from 1800cc VTech engine is a great piece of engineering. Putting a huge rear wing on it just cheapens the engineers original concept of the car.

and how the hell does venting slightly warm clean air back into the atmoshere from a BOV increase emmissions anyway

I class rice as an jap car thats fitted with a huge body kit and carbon fibure hoods and neons and go no where for performance wise. Aussie cars i dont see as rices but everyone is different.

i think most of u guys that class rice as jap cars are realy one sided. sure aussie cars are "tuff" but outa the factory the japanese sports car would mop anycar outa the shop here in aus. how would u feel driving a 6ltr 70 grand car geting moped by a motor half ur size and 1/3 ur capacity and 1/4 its value... i think its time to give some respect to hi tech low capacity cars. yeah i admit there are some bullИИИИ excells and hyundais and stuff, but nissan, subaru etc are quality companys who excelll in great engeneerd cars that kick *** outa the factory

i wouldn't call any car rice no matter what i looked like,,as has been said some people go for looks and some go for speed,,just because you as an individual do not like a particular car does not mean it is rice or any other type of food.

i would like to know what the asian people think about some of the fords you see around, cause lets face it some fords look crappy to.

I chopped holes in my EF Fairmont bonnet and put 2 Cosworth vents in to increase cooling. Is this considered "rice"?

btw, there is a big temperature difference thanks to those vents!
