First car was a 1988 EA S-Pac, 3spd Auto, CPI, had a 2.5in" catback. Loved it! Got her up to 180kph once and that was pretty scary. My ex gf managed to crash it as well in the wet. Fixed it up. Then the gearbox blew in it, so I traded it in for $1000 on a 98 EL GLi.

Got it a good year before I got my P's.

here she is:

1968 HK Holden Kingswood 161, 3 on the tree no syncro 1st gear, May 11 1976, $800 and I paid cash after saving up for 10 years.

I swapped it 2 years later for my first road bike, a Kawasaki Mach 3 which would have to qualify as the nastiest, most dangerous motor vehicle ever made.

Mine was a 1974 XB Fairmont. It rusted out around the warmed over 250 2V and C4 I had built for it. Damn it, should have done the body work first!

Parents bought me an 84 Nissan Pulsar. Thing got hammered pretty heavily and crashed it a couple of times being careless. Thankfully things have changed now. First car I bought was a 79 Fiat 131 for $200. Good fun while it lasted.

As a young bloke back in the late 60's, early 70's I had a brand new Honda 750 (4) K1 when I was an apprentice, had it for around 2 years, when one Easter was going to Tenterfield (from Newcastle) to stay with a mate.

I came off the bike at a place called (from memory) Black Water and remember seeing the bike sliding along the road and me on my bum following. Wasn't hurt real bad but turned me off the bike.

Anyways, made the decision to get off the bike and into a car.

Traded the bike on a brand new Datsun 1600 (the bright orange colour), it had mags as an extra and I ended up fitting a PBR brake booster (the brakes were crap).

So yeah, the Dato was my first car.

First car was a hand me down British Racing Green TC Cortina in 1980. 2L 4sp, lowered and with a straight through exhaust to just a hotdog at the rear. Went like the clappers and would wind off the clock happily. After running up the back of a dic#head who cut in front of me and stood on the brakes in the rain I was told I couldn't drive it till it was fixed ( cosmetic damage only) so I told my old man to stick his car where the sun don't shine and went out and bought a HQ panelvan. 202, 3 on the tree and unstoppable, was a great car and went just about anywhere on it's nose bleed high commercial suspension. That started a love affair with 70's holdens that lasted till the rug rats came along and I needed a big wagon in 04 so bought an EL. A HQ 253 4sp is still my fave car ever although my Sportsman is snapping at it's heels these days.
