13 employers 1978 - 2011 plus self-employed at times as well. Longest jobs have been 4+ years. Currently thinking about what job # 14 will be at age 52 and will be talking to a guy about that on Wednesday.
Never been sacked but have been made redundant when construction jobs are completed, and have quit sus jobs.
Never been worried about the next job or the next dollar - been comfortable, been poor, so what. Money comes, money goes.
More to life than money and being sensible, but I've never had kids to feed.
But going to bed well-fed, warm, and dry is better than going to bed hungry, cold and damp, especially if that bed is a sleeping bag in a park.

Was self employed dairy farmer..
Trained my fathers race horses [trotters] when I could..
Worked in local butter factory through the day..

Them came to Aussie or as some say the west island..
Took up helping out on a horse stud farm out in Porters Retreat..
But the ex jockey running the place had small man syndrome so I left..
The owner was a millioner living in Bahama's .. He would fly his plane from there...Or from Sydney ?? Frightens the hell out of you when he flew in..
The last thing you expect out west is a learjet landing near by!!!!
He employed me to look after his yearling cattle as they where dying..
Drenched them as they were full of warms from eating grass so low to ground as the horses can eat lower than cattle..

Started at Sydney county council as crane operator ..
Then signed up to line workers training..
Been there since 1980..

Been there for 5 years, worked for maybe 1.... Now, well let's say it's an easy job, let's say an hours solid work a day, never bored though. Don't plan on leaving either, so I'll be carried out in a box or kicked out when the company goes bankrupt and is shutdown..
