Slash his tyres and leave a banana in the tail-pipe always does the trick!

A few inappropriate suggestions in the thread people. Whilst I get a bit emotional at the mention of school zones and this type of behaviour myself, try and keep it civil so the OP can get some of the feedback he needs to make a LEGAL decision on what to do.

Well we had a couple of morons (townsville again) who would speed up and down the street, smoke up their cars and some had tried to run over the kids in the street. trouble was one of the lad's fathers was a popo and didnt seem to get into trouble.. there was a few run ins back then tho. the old man had a go at one of the boys for it but they just bait you so you snap cos they knew it would look bad an older bloke having a go at a young fella. anyways, It is entirely up to you. maybe have a yack to the neighbours you might be able to get a couple together and go say settle it down or something. talk to the coppers maybe at the same time so they know something is going on. I know that there is a duty of care there and if something were to happen after you had put in a report there would be poo hitting the fan so to speak.

He's a kid, when your a kid you dont consider the consequences of your actions, that is reality and not all kids are bad and evil some are perfectly reasonable. He may not stop doing burnouts but a simple chat might make him reconsider where he does them.

Give him a chance to correct his behaviour, by going to the cops everytime you are just giving them more ammo to crack down on the hobby we all enjoy.

I know his type by this in the op
"driving like a moron on pretty much a daily basis. He's on red P's in a turbo and the house he's coming to and from all the time is in a school zone about 150 meters from the school. He sees no issue in burnouts and drifting his car in broad daylight right outside or in the area near the house"

No one of normal intellect would behave like that in a suburb and near a school. The only type of person who behaves like that is an idiot. If he wants to drive like that he should take his car somewhere else maybe a location where no other people are in harms way.

Write a letter first and be nice so that he may want to take it easy like... "I like cars and your car looks great but please choose a spot away from people if you want to have fun etc..."
Then if no change in his behavior, tell the police

Put the NIKES on and just do it. By the time you have looked at all the replies on here he could have run over some one
Grow some balls and have it out when you see it. I know im not sounding freindly but tell this story to a mother that had a kid knocked over by this lad.
My bet is she would rip you a new one for doing nothing.
Right or wrong if its as bad as you say then do or say something because typing does jack

Smart one mate. I did the exact thing you've described with a similar scenario

$900 later, 12 months going to and from court (not to mention time off from work at my expense), I finally beat the assault charge.

Videos are your best friend in this situation. Even if a friendly neighbour does it for you.

Just call the cops and have a chat or better yet go down your local police station in person. They'll send a patrol car around for a word if not catch them in the act whilst on patrol.

Cheers for replies I'm writing up a letter to drop in the mailbox, maybe it will be enough of a hint to chill out or take it somewhere else. See how it goes tomorrow and over the weekend, if no better I'll go talk to some of the closer neighbours and see if they have or are keen to report him as well.

Reason video is tricky is hard to explain without knowing my house and where I am in regard to his, I'd pretty much need to stand out on the road to do it decently.

Definitely not keen on confronting him, the parties every weekend are pretty large and often fights and yelling matches out the front etc. Don't really want a group of them thinking it'd be fun to go hassle "that bloke has a problem with us".

Sleep pattern has been better worm, not that I'd call it a pattern anymore

and cheers for the offer Mick, but I'm fair way away from Morayfeild, I'm out past Middle Park.

So no one complains about the noisey parties?

Er putting it bluntly I make it known that im calling the police whenever there is a party or loud music (usualy after the first warning).

If there are no witnesses, pull him out of the car when he pulls up in the driveway and bash him. If he tries to have you charged with assault, just say that you were acting in self defence, as he threw the first punch.

Then if his behaviour doesn’t change, report him to the cops but make sure that all of your neighbours also report him. The cops can’t ignore a dozen separate complaints about the same person.

If you are worried about any repercussions from him recognising you, just get someone else to bash him on your behalf.

I know it sounds harsh, but some people you just can’t reason with and I have this strange feeling that this individual wouldn’t be the type who would understand a friendly chat about his driving style.

If this doesn’t suit you, just get as many neighbours as you can and complain until the police do something.

FULL NOISE. You can bash him and claim self defence, but it still costs you to defend it in the long run. Read my previous posting and you'll see the costs I incurred 3 years ago for the exact defence.

Not worth bashing him its too easy to be recorded everyone has a camera on their phone now someone would see it in the suburbs. I know many people who have got GBH charges due to similar incidences.
The only person I know who has hospitalised people like this and got away with it was an old German neighbour but he had impecable planning no emotion just logic.

You maybe on the right track with a letter I have talked to idiots about this before doesnt seem to have much effect they just laugh .

I know a bloke in a similar situation he went and knocked on the door said my kids play in this street dont hit them and walked off they stopped driving like idiots.

You will probably find the closer neighbours are intimidated becasue their are a number of morons at the residence.

If you want to video him get an email of to ACA they love this kind of moron if they take up the story they would have high qulaity video footage that the police could use.

Point taken. I guess I just flew off the handle with my comments and apologies for missing what you’ve said in post 39.

As a P plater myself (until november this year) I can say without a doubt there is NO way you can own a turbo/v8/supercharged car in queensland, unless it is on the excemption list (diesel and I think a few 3cyl cars). I have been though the ringer with QLD transport (trying to buy a supercharged VT calias at the time) thinking I could get around the laws somehow, well, I got put through to someone high up, and their answer was "NO" to everything I tried to put forward. Came to my senses and finally bought my ghia :P

If he has it under work purposes he can be strung up for using it outside of work hours. Few mates of ours working have had to get those and the only one who managed to get it for use all day every day was the son of a car dealership owner, which I very much doubt this guy is.

I'd be reporting the numberplate, that he's been doing burnouts and just see what happens, all they need to do is pull him up, lift the bonnet and he's pretty much lost his license.

I would definatly not confront someone like this, being 19 myself I feel qualified to say that this type of 'hoon' if you will, is not someone that is going to be 'reasonable' to deal with.

Best of luck mate, not a nice situation for anyone in the neighbourhood :(

Edit: Im a brisbane boy, also have a DSLR camera with a decent zoom lens for the speedway racing i photograph, let me know if you want some "awesome" pics of him =P
