if this doesn't start selling large cars then nothing will. Holden really have thrown everything at it so if it fails it wasn't through a lack of trying

I like more than I don't on the SSV. The rear may grow on me and the front reminds me a little of a C63 which for me, isn't a bad thing.

Loving the interior.

The SS embargo lifts in around 10 minutes so more images should become available.

SSV is nice, although I think it has lost a lot of the agressive look.
The wheels would look really good on a white car.

It's going to take some getting used to without the SS's moderately big and distinctive spoiler. Got some rear shots?

when I say tech..i also mean the ability to perform economically when pushed hard aswell. Compared to the new generation ecoboost and..lets say the new Toyota stuff aswell. Ive never seen a commodore return even close to claimed figures. Maybe I should have said quality engineered engines instead of tech engines. And lets not even mention the v8s fuel economy...its ridiculous. Now all the weight saving will no doubt be countered with the new additions to the car just about anyway.

I still think...as many here have said....cost is a huuuge factor. And that includes economy.

Same economy...same power...different looks and some new tech.....MEH I reckon they focused on the wrong things....espescially with the commodore.

Tech is good...but its not everything...espescially when its not free.
Still looks good tho

So far it looks like all VF models will share the same tail lights unlike VE.

Couldnt watch the full clip, really nothing very special here, just see a VE with more plastic screwed to it.

Interior 9/10. Exterior 5-6/10. VE was so much more succesfully desiged as a sports model.

The best part of the VF interior is they got rid of the horrible handbrake. It may sound picky, but it was one of the reasons it turned me off buying a VE Calais and the horrendous auto shifter.

In saying that while it looks good I agree it doesn't look as aggressive as previous models. The European/Korean influence really shows up in the SSV IMO.

I have got a feeling SS will be a sales hit, this will have a broader appeal than previous versions. I can see it tempting low end Euro shoppers.

If they offered a better engine (LS2) and/or supercharger option, it would be unbeatable. Holden really have pulled out the stops with this car. Lots of work for Ford to do between now and 2014 release.

The car in the pictures look to be a SS-V Redline. It has front Brembos and optional 20" wheels.

Why compare a SS-V to an ecoboost or Toyota and complain about economy? In the Falcon range the XR6 Turbo or FPV GS are the competitors to this car. Both like a drink when driven like they should be.

You thought the VE was agressive looking? Was a soft looking Commodore. IMO they haven't looked agressive since VY-VZ.

This one looks pretty agressive though. I like it. Will make the FG look really old unfortunately.

The SS have black tinted tail lights though. I saw another pic of the VF 'Sport' model and it had clear chrome tail lights.

Looks like they fixed the grille on the SS(V), looks like a very good design to me. Only thing left if price and build quality. If those 2 are spot on, there is not reason why it wouldn't be a sales success (IMO) and eat more into Falcon sales :(
