A different perspective...
China has no problems using the military for domestic problems. We should all use our professional soldiers to "assist"on demand? What could possibly go wrong with that precedent? When President Donald Trump offers military support ...no takers. (cause little things can go wrong) |

I agree with you from the perspective that I don't particularly want our military dealing with this kind of **** - sure they can do it no problem but its not where their experience is or what their function they serve that they spend lots of time training for. Quote:
Its no surprise you've got people acting the way they do in Melbourne. As far as I'm concerned the Government has no credibility on safety, Citroenbender has it on the money with VIC State Government is playing from a compromised position. |

Seems like exactly what we need. If they need volunteers to shoot Clive Palmoil on sight, I'm available. But in all seriousness, the job of the ADF is to kill our enemies, but that doesn't stop them rescuing people, fighting bushfires, or being mobilised to Natural Disasters. Furthermore, the job of Nurses and Doctors is to treat sick people, not deal with ****wits. If somebody has to do it, then might as well put the ADF to work.

I distinctly remember boomer women calling into radio talk shows complaining about being randomly pulled over or being questioned over what they are doing by Vic Police early on and complaining about how unfair it was that they had to answer questions. She was whinging about having to prove she was going to Coles when she had the Coles bag in her hand and in the car park and it was some great injustice that the police were targeting her when she hasn't ever stepped a foot wrong in her life. Did you think it didn't apply for you love? It was only those dastardly reffos in the North West! Sure the ADF can do all these other roles but I don't think it's the right fit for the job when we have people who this is their role, their function and their experience, I don't get the warehouse guys at work to do sales even though yes they know how to answer a phone and say 'hello'. |

We have people whose role, training, and experience, is "Dealing with Morons during a Pandemic"? I must have missed those job adverts.

Ooo shame we have to turn to twitter to get some evidence. May have to use the links to get a clearer shot.

What is the difference with getting the ADF in and Marshall Law? Adding curfews and limits on everything just makes Vic sound like a police state now.
I agree, people should be held accountable for their actions with regards to the hotel infection catastrophe, but Dan the man is the face of those decisions, so its natural to point fingers his way too. I tell you what though, if the intention is to bring down the economy while getting majority population compliance laced with fear, this is working to plan.

Comments like yours really help with my understanding, of how people are so stupid as to still be spreading the virus. That's right, you've figured out their dastardly plan, there is no virus it's just a giant conspiracy (by Jewish Bankers) to take away our guns and our civil liberties.

We never shut down the economy for the Flu did we and we have yearly vaccines with that. We just accepted X amount of people die each year and go about our merry way. But yet here we are!

The countries with major outbreaks have had far more deaths this year than the same time last year. So saying covid deaths are just substituting other usual deaths is not correct.

But it is really contagious, which makes it so bad, as the numbers of infected can soar so easily. It spreads like wild fire if left unchecked. To me that is the difference between this and the flu. The flu is nowhere near as contagious, as well as being slightly less dangerous to the average healthy person. |

No ADF services offered to VIC government (or any other state or territory) for hotel security duties whatsoever.

I think the ADF could play a role; there's nothing like a couple of howitzers parked at the side of the road to convince people that they should stop at the roadblock.

And watch Russia Today for its 'edgy' feel. Fair is fair though the corporations are lying to everyone even those who do the research. Doesn't matter how many times you say "roundup doesn't cause cancer" and rock back and forth though. It still causes cancer and ya'll poisoning yourselves. I would find it funny if it wasn't so horribly terrifying that a country like Russia which has a terrible human rights track record is now asking us to trust them with an injection. Sorry but I don't think 'edgy' and 'cool' when I think of Russia. A sample: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMXSgPsfYYk The 'cool' and 'awesome' thing for boomers to do today is to distrust the science and trust corporations despite corporations paying to bias scientific fact in their favor. I'm pretty sure an entire generation of boomers have grown up never being told by teachers to do their own research before trusting the word others and that it is this mechanism which is being used by corporations worldwide to great effect to completely destroy the modern world. I also wouldn't trust Bayer, who now owns Monsanto. Its enough to make you want to vomit up a tumor or two. Last edited by gooseneck; 12-08-2020 at 11:06 PM. |

So while it is only second hand I have a mate who is a paramedic now in medical training, and has been helping skill up police/guards/etc.
He has seen people get infected more than once, and the second time its not good. Blokes in their 30's. She aint no flu.

414 new cases for Australia and 21 deaths sees the CMR rise to 1.591% and active cases rise to 9,382. NSW recorded 18 cases with the balance in Victoria. It was also the single highest daily total for deaths since the pandemic began.
9 new cases and no deaths for NZ so CMR is 1.393% and active cases rise to 26. The UK recorded 1,009 new cases and 180 deaths so the CMR rises to 14.884%. Just over 54.5k new cases in the USA yesterday and 1,504 deaths sees CMR down to 3.16% and active cases at 44.9% with the raw numbers rising. Note that the USA is actually minus one day due to time differences. Other notable points: Global deaths pass 750k, the last 100k taking only 8 days again; The USA completes 67M, India 26M, Australia 5M and Colombia 2M tests; Asia recorded a record high for new cases with 93,059; Albania (141), Greece (235), Paraguay (499), Ethiopia (943), Venezuela (1,150), Romania (1,455), Morocco (1,499), Argentina (7,663), Peru (8,875) and India (67,066) all recorded new daily highs, those in blue for the second consecutive day and those in red for a third or more consecutive day.

LOL Americold conspiracy now appearing. So NZ suspect their 2nd wave could be linked to the Americold storage site in Wellington. Our Americold storage facility in Laverton has had a couple of cases. Apparently no link between the two. Would be interesting to know if our meat works supply chain has any touch points. Is it time to do what China has done, make food exporters prove that their produce are "virus free", or is it still too early to call? Do we rely much on food imports?
Kung Flu vs Ameri Cold. Can't make this stuff up. |
