Top gear Australia mag quoted the F6 as "quite simply the best 4 door sedan under 100 grand anywhere in the world"

So i cant see how it can not win on the the TV show.

But hey there are more holden V8's out there, might not want to get that audience off side so early in the show lol.

Not exactly what about the W427, thats faster then the R8/GTS. But no point in testing a low volume car like that against the 'mainstream' F6.
But your correct there can only be one winner hopefully the F6 brings home the goods

The R8 will more then likely beat the F6 off the line & get ahead for abit, but will then get reeled in hard....

The W427 is a whole different market and is irrelevant.

Here we go again...

Another cold engine red-lined. This time a GT-40.

I'm there next Tuesday. I'll walk up and belt the bloke if they try it when I'm in the audience.

It's not getting any better.

Typhoon Vs Clubsport. How is the Commodore 'Pure Aussie' when its engine is a crate from the USA. Terrible Falcon start, but we did win the drag.

Carn Falcon.

Wakefield Parkway. Great circuit.

Note to self, don't buy a Blue FG Typhoon demo any time soon. I like my diffs to be tight.

Right conclusion.

They argee with us. Brakes aren't to standard and the HSV has better grip.

F6 smoked the R8 considering the start it gave the HSV.

on the other hand, they mentioned FORD (one or another) in every segment:
Ford GT,
FPV F6,
FWD Falcon,
Ford Ka (007)
Falcon Ute,.......

Poor Falcon Ute. Last time I looked, XR6 Utes didn't take a Tonne (stock).

So doing the exact same as we do here (bagging the idea of a FWD Falcon) is now a bad thing?

How do you know it won't happen?

Weak effort not having the Stig test the Holden and Ford.

I thought that was a massive improvement over the first episode. Though in the drag they couldn't launch the F6 for crap.

The challenges were much more entertaining and relevant, the smart car part was actually funny and the pace just seemed to be turned down a few notches and explained better. Better camerawork especially on the Stig's GT run, much better idea of the track now. I also thought it was great how they used the Stig throughout the show, entertaining but not overkill.

I can see myself eventually adjusting to the style and hosts. Best Aussie car show i've seen by a long shot (not that i've seen a whole lot).

I love the show. All the knockers can always change channels and watch the all Australian program on another channel, that is on at the same time. 'Australian Idol'

For starters, they won't call a FWD car Falcon.

Then it involves a total re-tooling of the Plant, and a new (and expensive) platform for a car Falcon sized. Taurus is bigger than Fairlane, and the lackluster sales performance of Aurion, 380/Magna and Camry are some of the barriers that a FWD Falcon face. Ford are cash strapped, and would be stupid to kill their Operation in Australia.

They're making progress. I'll give them a(nother) hour next week.

The R8 and F6 tire warming was a bit weak, and the lack of a conclusion after that segment was a little underwhelming, but the threesome are finding their feet.

I wonder who's paying for all the damage these guys inflict ie loading the utes?
