Thanks DJM, really happy with it, but comes at a price as expected. Still fiddling with settings, but loving what these offer. Have posted my progress on FocusST.org with more detail but happy to advise of my experiences with ford forums members if anyone is interested.

Yes, running E-21 BR's up front (Focus Mk3 kit) but they fit the ST fine. The E-21 BR's in this kit went back (shocks too long) and replaced with BR E-22 rears. Shocks were about 6 inches shorter in the E-22 kit which suprised me as I didn't think there would be that much diffence in suspension between the regular Focus and the ST.
I am not totally sure but I think the BR E-22 fronts go lower, which I dont need as I still have an inch of thread left at my current ride height.

Looking at yours and others on st.org there is a bit of difference in the two kits. Would you mind slamming the front and snapping a pic in the name of science? LOL

Cool, nice mod for a few bucks from my experience, gives the ST a bit of volume without any highway drone.

Got my roof wrapped - gloss black. Anyone in Sydney that's interested, get in contact with Pro Vinyl in Rosebery. Definitely happy about the outcome.

Got the ST back from Ford today after it broke down yesterday afternoon at an intersection in the ****ing down rain. Not impressed...
Found out that a cable tie had been put on too tight from factory and had slowly cut into some wiring... Last edited by ronnas07; 28-04-2014 at 08:47 PM. |

Will be interested to see how this combo goes for you. Was on edge autosport last night looking at brakes and noticed these. The Wilwood brake kits look nice as well but v pricey. If money was no object...
Had happy laps last weekend and altho they performed pretty well the brakes look worse for wear

Saw that post on another forum Blair, was looking at a full blown Wilwood package myself, by the time I looked at purchase price, plus the currency conversion, plus the envisaged tax, plus the engineering certification as I was increasing pistons (NSW rules), it was looking like a 4.5K exercise. I had to scale back at that point. The list I supplied plus 140 for stainless brake lines is as far as I wanted to go, and could afford.

Very sensible, works out to be a lot of money doesn't it. Realistically the items you've gone for will be more than good enough for the odd track day

I am confident an amateur like me will get by on that, The car stops really well on stock callipers, the rotors and pads are showing signs of fatigue. I will take a punt on upgrading all but callipers, and happy to advise if it goes pear shaped

I agree the stock brakes are good but like you noticed they don't take punishment too well!

yep, fed them with Motul RFB600 fluid before anything else, should have helped but the rotor scoring and the material transfer and subsequent pedal feel and squeal tells me I need to do something
