1st: 1979 Ford Escort 4door. Ice blue & stock. 1.6L I think. 4speed manual. Dad bought it for $300, stuck pink carpet to the dash (I don't know why) & even had it registered! He gave it to me after 6 months of my sister stuffing around, not collecting it from his place & the dog sleeping in it.

2nd: 1986 XF Falcon S wagon. 5speed manual. Powder blue. Nissan Patrol leaf spring. Stupid, but I could sleep in it.

3rd: 1984 Suzuki 800Hatch. 5speed manual. Silver with dumb green detail carried out by the old bugger I bought it from - great mechanic, terrible painter, but he had the seats trimmed properly in dark grey.

4th: 1987 Daihatsu Charade 5 door hatch. Gold. Brown interior. I miss the way the rear seat folded

5th: 1992 KH Laser sportback/fastback/whatever you like to call it. Ice Blue. 1.6L. 5speed Manual. Basic as can be - not even EFI, but it was the best, most reliable car in existence. Everything was cheap to fix or replace & it had a pretty damn good boot.

6th: 1991 Nissan Pintara (front wheel drive) sedan. Red. 2L I4. Auto. I put the seats from the Laser in it. Went through 2 gearboxes AND two brake master cylenders within 4 months. If it had a better engine & gearbox it would have been great. Couldn't give the hing away in the end.

7th: 1991 TR Mitsubishi Magna Sedan. 4 cylender. Auto. White with blue interior. Nicknamed 'Parkinson' due to a serious case of the shakes. Possibly the worst car ever. Anything that could go wrong did. It proved to me that it IS possible to stall an auto.

8th, current & probably last: 2007 WQ Ford Fiesta LX 5door. 1.6L I4. Manual. Ice White. Generic but not entirely unattractive seat covers in the front, CocaCola towel on the back seat & my son's booster are the closest thing to "mods". We only got her because the Magna & the Pintara had cost us so much, we figured it couldn't be worse. Named her KIMMI.

potential 9th (if we can ever afford it): Mitsubishi 380 or Mazda BT-50 dualcab. But we'll always have KIMMI. ;)

My list is pretty sad actually, lol:

1990 TP magna Wagon - 2.6 Carby Manual - 1st Car, present from the parents. Put up with 2 years of caining. Ended up selling to a wreckers/

1995 TS Magna V6Si - 3L V6 Manual - Stereo on Wheels...lol

2003 TL Magna VR Limited Edition - 3.5L V6 Manual - Went surprisingly hard. Surprised a fair few people..

2008 FG XR6 Turbo 6speed Auto in Sensation - Optioned with 19's, tech pack, tint, Mats. Best car so far by a long shot, and an absolute weapon...

1978 2 litre Escort Rally Pack 4 door - Yellow, bought in 1981, sold in 1985. First car, I thrashed it and I trashed it.
1983 XE Falcon GL 4 spd manual - Sno White, bought in 1985, sold in 1992. I think they're extinct now.
1992 EBII Falcon S 5 speed manual - Everglade, bought new, sold in 2003. Great car but like a truck around town.
1978 2 litre Escort 2 door - Yellow, bought in 1996, sold in 1998. Had to buy a car to get to work, they took the buses away.
1991 KF Laser GLi hatchback 5 sp manual - White, bought in 1998, sold in 2001. The Escort was a sh*tbox.
1998 KJIII Laser GLXi hatchback 5 spd manual + Power Pack - White, bought in 2002, still in possession. The Fairlane of Lasers.

UPDATE:
Rolled the lease over on the BF and finally bought it out in Nov 2010, sold it to my son in Jan 2011 and bought an FG XR6. I originally leased it for 2 years, then bought it out and kept it until a fortnight ago. It was a terrific car, it started life as a demo model with 6 speed ZF, premium sound, reverse sensors, 18" alloys, Seduce paint. I had no reason to get rid of it, but...

Now I'm the proud owner of a stock FG-X XR8 auto in Victory Gold. Build date 4/2015, 28000 k's on the clock, I'll be keeping this for at least 5 years at which time I expect that it will still have less than 80,000km on the clock. In the meantime I'm very much looking forward to occasional road trips along the NSW south coast and across the Snowy's; I intend to make it cry out at opportune times.

A few months back, there was another addition to the Fowl Can fleet - a 1986 Volvo 240 GL wagon. It's the 2.3l 4, not the the quickest thing in the universe (even the Pug would flog it) but it has heaps of haulage room, a towbar, and it does the job while the Futura is in the panel shop getting titivated.
Bought off a mate of my Dad's, for $1k with 3mths rego - how could I possibly go wrong?
