Default Thought id try my hand at some trim work

Like title says thought id do some trim work after being inspired by a couple of members here, I got some faux suede and sort of used a bit of trial and error to get it looking like this, its not %100 finished but here it is for now. Eventually im thinking about doing the A,B, and C pillars and maybe do something with the concave at the bottom of the doortrim oh and also contemplating the parcell shelf. The only problem is that being faux suede it has no stretch at all so its hard to get it to follow curves. But heres some pics for now anyway.

Just chuck some black EA door handles in.

Good work. That does look really good.

looks tidy, i recently did something similar but with vinyl.

if you want to paint the door handles in a similar grey, try the basic interior/exterior grey spray paint from supercheap auto. cheap paint but comes up a treat. matches my dash and trim pretty well.

I took out an A pillar today and i see what you mean it so hard to get the material to follow the shape, I think i might just stick to some more door trim work and parcell shelf for now!!

Cheers mate, I just started bu cutting a cardboard template then tracing it to some MDF and cut from that, it just took a little triming etc.. to get the shape right. Then i just bunged some foam on it then the material all in all it only took about half a day. I cheated a little and just glued them in for now :hihi: but it seems to hold up ok.

I reckon ill start the shelf on the weekend if all goes well ill keep ya posted
