Default BA GT 12.32 @ Calder

One of our (Blue Power & Aussie Car Enhancements) customer cars tonight at calder ran into the 12.3's at around 114.7 MPH 1.97 60ft twice. I left at 8.45 and he said he was going to let it cool down and give it another shot. Possibly a 12.2 in the making.

The car is a BA GT with the following

Full Di Filippo Exhaust
Blue Power air box
Custom Tune
ACE racing suspension
4.11 diff gears
Hi-stall convertor
Mickey Thomo street radials

Both Chris and I keep telling him to lighten it and put racing wheels and tyres but he's happy to race it every second friday night in this trim. Sooner or later we will break him...LOL........

This car is a credit to it's owner as he keeps it spotless inside and out and underneath. I have worked on this car a lot and I never ever get dirty hands....

My "spooler" is a 12.6 at half the cost...And I have no doubts that it could do an 11 with just valve springs and another tweak.

Different horses for different courses, but i agree.

It is very satisfying getting 11's out of a NA Boss, infact the only internal mod i have in mine is oil pump gears.

Costs lots more $$$ to get there compared to a 6T, but nothing sounds as tough as a NA Boss at 6500rpm +

Totally agree, I drove an XR8 ute yesterday with 250 at the rear and a shaker... Loved the note, loved the look of the bulge... 8's are in a class of there own, and sound so much better than a 6 at full noise. But I just love the pull my T has. But having said that, I would like to get hold of a BA Ghia 5.4 and give it the Craig@ACE workover....

Well i can think of a couple things that sound tougher, but i guess you are trying to be a 'realist' and talking street cars... which aren't really in street trim

and btw, well done to ACE & Bluepower for their work on the GT it is an awesome effort.

(My previous posts are only made from a person with some serious sleep deprivation humour issues...)

Unfortunately we have a protagonist he keeps trying to high light, turbo V V8 cars..
Let’s keep this thread about the success of the 12.3 sec GT.

Light weight wheels, more stall, a bit of suspension set up, and it WILL run an 11 no worries.

Only prob may be drive shafts.
