hi all I have purchased a 1993 ed fairmont and cannot change the date on the clock display past 1999 is there any way it can be adjusted :eclipsee_

hi
you set the year on the tripmeter to a year with the corresponding dates in it... so 2006 - 1995 2007 - 1990 2008 - 1991/1997 (leap year) 2009 - 1998 2010 - 1993 |

It's great isn't it! I think it's 1989 for me as well, good thing the trip computer doesn't show the year, just the day and the month. eg. "Monday September 18th". I reckon when Ford built the EA, they didn't believe it would make it past 1999. So with it being 89', I am 5 years old, and my car hasn't actually been built yet!

Seems they were set up so they were "floating", kind of like a gyro with dampeners.
They work quite well on freeways and other well-paved roads |
