Default My take on the MMS...

Hi all

Well i went to the MMS on Friday night, didn't even take my camera this time as i was confident that there just wasn't anything new or exciting enough to bother with it. I was basically right, but, the FORD GT is an absolute STUNNER! What a sensational bit of gear... and the promo video they had going for it on the big screen was equally as exciting and inspirational.

To be honest, the rest of the Ford stand was just average, nothing grabbed the attention and all that was required was a quick passing by. Quite disappointing.

The focus is a nice little car though, while the ST170 looks mighty impressive now with the volvo donk.

Holden also had a less than perfect stand even though they had their pink Torana concept there. Isn't too bad i guess, perhaps a hint at VE styling??

I was eager to also check out the Lexus GS series as they seemed allot sportier and appealing to me than the previous model, but up close and in the metal there is still something that lets them down even though they are better than the previous model.

What interested me the most was the new RS4, i really really like this model all except it's interior which is a bit of a let down. I also didn't realise it is so expensive... $240,000 odd.

I will be planning on going euro in a few years (after i taste what the updated falcon will be like) depending on certain circumstances, with a budget of upto $150,000, so the RS4 is now crossed off the list for now.

So what else would people consider in this range??

M3 would be an obvious addition to the shopping list... although i'm a little worried about the future styling if the new 3 series is anything to go by.

any other ideas?

I know it's still a fair way off, but things a falling into place nicely and the idea of achieving this for myself is becoming quite possible.

thanks.

oh btw, the alfa romeo girls this year were a litte toned down from last year... damn! Their outfits were amazing last year... anybody remember?? :
