Default Zetec supercharger 220Hp, 200lb ft of torque @ 8PSI

At Last! Here's an easy to install Eaton-based supercharger kit with everything you need to bring your 00-04 Zetec to dizzying heights of performance. If you want 220 horsepower, and 200 lb ft of torque at your instant disposal for the ride in to work on Monday, then you need to order this kit, and install it with regular tools in just one weekend! Eaton based superchargers will built boost almost instantly making power earlier than a turbo or centrifugal supercharger giving you more usable power through the entire rpm range!
Your kit includes the supercharger, intake manifold, intercooler & pump, new pulleys & belt system along with all the brackets, gaskets & wiring harnesses you'll need for the job. And you may well own all the tools needed for installation - nothing more exotic than a Torx driver on the short list of tools you'll need.
Zetec 5 speed from 2000 to 2004
I hear that power work is making 1 for the auto
Full cost is $10,650

Yup
If you added this supercharger to your stock Focus. it would make 260kw.
If you did your whole engine up, your looking over 300kw
Go to this site and download the video and see it for yourself
Nice burnout at the end
The file is 16.8mb

OK Robert,

Let's seperate the fact from the fiction.

I wish you every luck with your business, but just like any other business you've got to be able to convince a customer why to buy from you.

First up, we're talking 220 hp as you said in your first post. How did you jump this to 260kW??

And we are talking the Powerworks supercharger from Cosworth Technologies aren't we? So they claim 220 hp, not 260kW

Secondly, I know you've got a business to run, but the Powerworks supercharger is US$4750 from the states (AU$6450 roughly) plus freight.

So why should I pay you AU$10,650? Are you providing an ECU update for Australian specs? Can you provide an edit for the XSU1 ECU? (Cosworth can't yet)

I know there is freight, and you need a markup, but what are you providing for the markup? Why wouldn't I get it directly from the States? $6450 plus, let's be stupid for a moment, $2000 for freight (which it won't be),no import duties (you have heard of the Free Trade Agreement?) I'm still 2 grand ahead of your price.

Cruel I know, but that is the facts of business. We've all got the internet, and can search out costs. I'm sorry, but I'm a bit older and a bit more cynical than most of the young blokes on this Forum

So the question is, why should anyone here buy from you? You come onto these forums to basically advertise (you've never participated in the forums from what I can see), no website, no background on who you are and what expertise you bring, you appear to start mixing up HP and Kw, with rubbery figures (220? 260? hp? kw?) and you expect a business to take off

So Robert, here's an opportunity to explain to these young guys why they should buy from you. What you bring in wisdom, knowledge, service and expertise to justify why they should pay a premium. What specialised expertise do you bring to tailor these products to Australian spec vehicles? for example. Because you're not just buying this stuff off the net and then wacking on a big mark up are you? Because we don't want anyone being ripped off do we Robert?

To work out Hp into kw 130 x 745=96850, so you take the 1st 2 numbers
130hp + 220hp= 350 x 745=260750 you take the 1st 3 number, there your answer
When you order this supercharger, you get a box to send your computer and its all paid for to send to the states so that your computer can be updated
Yes it does cost US$4750 now you have to pay 0.70c+ in the US dollar =3325 both together $8075 you have to pay for shipping to here, when it gets here ok
You have to pay handling fees and to top it off you have to pay GOODS TAXS on that full price, So I don't think you know what your talking about
I don't get any parts off the net thank you, I deal directly with the company and they tell me how much to sell it for and i can tell you I don't make that much
To be honest with you.

It's easier to use decimals, that way everyone understands... 1kW = 0.7456999 HP.

I respect your right to run a business, however I am with Stephen in that you have appeared out of nowhere, confused many people and whilst being prompt to reply, have sent everyone into a fluff.

Here's a tip - never mention the word 2.3L EVER when talking Focus, there never was a 2.3L version in Australia, regardless of whether or not there is in the states. It only serves to confuse people here. Whilst a few of us know exactly what you mean, (those of use who've been following and building Focus enthusiast circles here over more than 3 years including starting clubs and seeing other "tuning houses" fade into black through inattention to detail and initial excitement followed by random disappearance), many may get confused.

I believe it is a policy of this forum that nobody may advertise their business in such a way that it undermines the forum sponsors who pay to have a place here. I would recommend either enquiring with the admin who would be more than happy to accomodate a request for a resident smaller car/Focus tuner, GOD knows we need someone dedicated and willing to offer great deals, which I have no doubt you are one. We are all very excited that you are keen to help and offer lots, but given the confusion and million posts on many of the threads it is perhaps a little too much too soon. The benefits of forum sponsorship include exposure, your own forum section dedicated to your company and questions/testimonials and many other features I'm sure the admins can expand upon.

For all forum members, including those owning LS Foci, may I make a suggestion. These mods are almost exclusively for LR Focus, simply due not only to the time they've been out in the world, but that a lot of them come from the states and the USA doesn't have the LS Focus. If you have an LS, we still love you :hihi: , please enjoy it and ignore these posts unless otherwise stated for LS Focus. Assume LR 2.0 when you see "2.0 litre". If he says 2.0 Duratec, assume the LR ST170 Duratec which is an entirely different engine from the ALL NEW Duratec unit found in LS Foci.

In due course, LS mods will appear, they alreay have 220HP N/A out of the new 2.0 Duratec engine in the UK and any Fast Fords UK mag or similar will show the massive range on offer. If FRA manages to get hold of them, then that would be great too, but give the poor man some breathing space!

So in summary, let's just all keep enjoying our cars, keep offering our new friend here our support if he is willing to stand by us, and let's just tone down the furious excitement just a few notches. I would recommend PM for any serious requests and for Mr FRA, I would highly recommend getting that website up and running ASAP as it will take a load off your back and get everyone satisfying many of their own questions regarding prices etc!!!!

Matt

1. 1 AUD (one Australian dollar) = (today) 0.739325 USD (US Dollars)
$4750 divided by 0.739325 equals $6424.78 NOT $8075
Source: www.xe.com. Currency Converter

2. 1 kW = 1.34102209 hp. Therefore the kilowatt figure is always less than the horsepower figure (1 is less than 1.34102209)
220 hp is 164.0539kW NOT 260 kW

So lesson one. Go back to school.

Plus , Powerworks do recalibrate the PCM to US Specs for US fuel as part of their service. BUT, they scratch their heads over some of the Australian spec PCM's and to them 95 RON is a really really high octane figure for a road car. Optimax? 98 RON? What's that?
So if you as the retailer promise Australian owners that their pcm will be recalibrated for Australian conditions, I'd suggest you get to know your local Consumer Affairs people really well

CAVEAT EMPTOR (look it up)

One of the local dealers here has sold a couple Powerworks kits to Focus owners in the UK and they are left on their own for a tuning solution since among other things, the North American Focus uses a returnless fuel system and the Powerworks calibrated PCM's take this into account. The Uk owners seem to have had great success with their own tuning though and are making pretty empressive numbers.

Oh and cool forum you guys have here, hope you don't mind a Canadian Focus owner poking his head in.

Yeah. Powerworks told me that I'd have to sort out my own tuner here in OZ, because the PCM's are different, and they wouldn't touch mine. Just ask Resty the fun he's been having getting an edit for his turbocharged Focus with a similar US off the shelf "we reprogram your PCM' kit.

That's why I want the younger guys to go in with eyes open and do their research. And why a good retailer will give you the right solution for the local market

hey guys, i'm the Canadian and World Distributor for the PW products and i'd like to clear up a few things.

First, PW was started by Cosworth Technologies which was bought out by Mahle Powertrain last summer.
there are kits for the standard 2.0L Zetec Manual and Automatic plus a kit for the SVT(ST170).
I have importe a few of these kits to the UK and have more than a few running around here in Canada.

The powerlevels claimed by PW are accurate as we are seeing 220fwhp and aprox 180-190lb/ft on a basicly stock Zetec.
I have been selling these kits to the UK guys over of FFOC.co.uk you can check out the thread here: http://www.ffoc.co.uk/forum/viewtopi...106905&start=0

the PW calibration will only work on a Return fuel system so if you are like the Zetec guys in the UK you are looking at running a standalone or piggyback system, not that that is a bad thing, it;s just extra cost
HOWEVER, if you are driving one of the SVT(ST170)s then you do have another option. according to the guys at PW the UK/World ST170s use the same system as the US SVTs as far as fueling and engine control go so tunes can be provided via a SCT Xcal2 which also has datalogging functions aswell. to further enhance this package upgrading to a SCT Pro-racer package, you can take advantage of the Xcal2 on your own laptop and tune the car yourself without having to worry about different varriables in your pocket of the world. this would be the ideal solution as SCT has great customer support and there are a vast number of dealers in the US who are able to offer assistance and even remote tuning to aid in getting your car sorted.

the prices i extend to the UK guys apply to you aswell but due to the differences in shipping distance, i may have to edit the final price. still, you will not find a better deal on these kits anywhere. you are free to contact Chris at PE, EvilBat, Simon170 or GTI on the FFOC forums to inquire about my reputation and business ethics.

here are some links for you guys to check out....
http://www.ffoc.co.uk/forum/viewtopi...ght=powerworks
http://www.ffoc.co.uk/forum/viewtopi...110842&start=0
http://www.ffoc.co.uk/forum/viewtopi...112219&start=0
you can also pick up last months issue of Performance Ford UK if you can find it, you will see the first PW kit on a Zetec outside of NA sold by me and fitted by the owner and tuned by Chris at PE in the UK.

any questions please feel free to contact me at sales @ Zx3tuning.com Just remove the spaces before you send the email! ;)

Ok sorry but you lost me here mate. The last time I put a post on this thread was last month.........haven't mentioned anything since then. The guy who just put in his post ZX3Tuning isn't me.

Our company Focus Racing Australia doesn't even sell this item.

lol,
find out what the hard way?
looking over the rules and regs of this site, i saw no mention of commercial posts being allowed or not allowed.
besides, i came here more to correct the misinformation posted by FRA on these kits than anything else. If any of you are serious about getting into one of these kits for a return fuel system Zetec then i can help you get your system sorted. unlike other people, i have already been through it with other customers. As for selling the kits, I am the PW Authorized World Disributor and already have my shipping methods sorted out which will save people hundreds of dollars.

Sorry if i was out of line, please show me in the site rules and regs where i broke a rule and i will happily edit my post.

Thanks

Mitch

I would like to take my foot out of my mouth and apologise both to FRA and ZX3

Even though posts containing advertising material in any form except those posted on or on behalf of supporting site sponsors, I am happy to see products and services discussed in depth, in this case I miss read the first post and acted with thinking.

I can assure you I will probably do this again at some stage and appreciated the feedback both for FRA and ZX3

Gary

I am not sure you need to apologise Gary.

This was the very first post from FRA

http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthr...862#post583862

and a number of us raised the issue at the time.

But he has been pretty well behaved lately
