So i have an au2 falcon xls manual ute and have a 3.45lsd diff from an xr6 and wanting to change over to an open diff.
Would I have to replace the whole rear end or can i swap the centres over and whats the procedure for that.

Ute is leaf springs. Sedan is coils I assume the XR6 is a sedan?

Diff centres can be swapped but they need to be set up properly with clearances, backlash etc. Not something I'd attempt without help and especially if you've got to ask.

Confused, not sure what you're saying...........
I get that you have an AU2 XLS manual ute.
It appears you also have a 3.45LSD out of an XR6.
It sounds like the LSD is installed in the ute, as you want to change over to an open diff.
So what's the question again?

My falcon when i bought it had a 3.45lsd installed and im wanting to swap my diff to an open diff as i have plans on locking it with mini spool. Would i be able to buy a diff centre and install it with the same axles i have now or would I have to buy a whole rear end and drop mine then install that one?
