Default engine probs

Hey guys somthing wrong with my car, when i start it in the drive way and put it in nuetral and rev it only slightly, after the revs peak they fall down to zero and the car either stalls or just about does. Help!

it idels at about 500 600 rpm but it just drops down to zero for about 1 or 2 secs then returns to normal

Sounds like it's searching maybe an over heating problem or electrical.

Does this do it continually (repeatedly)?

mine sort of splutters and acts like its gonna stall too. But a bit of throttle always fixes it :P

mine does this when the air con is on, my solution wind the window down

im not sure if i understand ur lingo does it mean travelling a 60km/h with the 4 windows down does the job

Idle Control Motor for mine, mounted just behind the throttle body. There's one on Ebay at the moment for about $40 (ef/el).

mine did that real bad, very embarrasing especially when trying to do laps or show off...lol.... i cleaned out the idle control and its all sweet now, just got to fix all the other engine problems...
