Hi, as title says wife has lost her car keys and we have no spare. Yes I know we should have got a spare set cut but we didn't. My question is what now? Can fords get the key number from the chassis number? Or is it a case of new locks and immobiliser Ecu, and a reprogram and take out a second mortgage. Thanks for any help.

Forget this post, my son had come home and picked them up by mistake, and yes I'm now going to get a spare one cut. Lesson learnt. 😊

not usually as simple as cutting a key as the key bob has a chip in it that needs to be matched to the cars ECU otherwise will not start

Hi, just an update got new key cut and coded at the local ford dealer today, I wanted the 'flip out' type key, but they told me that the car is too old for this type of key. The car is a '05 LS, can anyone confirm this?
