Default After market ECU

How many of us do have one and how many do want one. How many people have had good results and how many people think they're a load of crap. Would be very interesting to hear.

Probably fitting a piggy back soon. A full computer swap is a little on the expensive side at the moment.

Having seen the trouble a mate had with a full ecu swap, I'm keen for a piggy-back. I don't know if I will ever get one though. It's that little bit of money that I don't have and can't really justify spending.

I converted a t5 cfi to mpi & had a mpi auto
ecu they run well, but found putting in the t5
mpi ecu it is heaps better on fuel as auto pumps
more fuel to allow drag of auto box & it iddles perfect
& pulls much harder.

aparently there was 2 or 3 guys who could edit the stnadard EEC Ford computers i remember reading it in ZOOM in the falcon turbo-conversion issue.

Best option is to use full aftermarket ECU, thats the only way you will get full benefits from computer mods, Unichip and the like are marginal IMO.

Honestly, if youre thinking about it then you dont really need it.

An ECU upgrade isnt like slapping on 3inch exchaust, its something you have to have to make ur car run casue ur cars too worked ie. FI, big cam, wateva
