Mazda is not going to try Eunos experiment again , Nissan tried again with Infinity and it is not quite working. Only Toyota managed to bridge mainstream to prestige - started with one model LS400 , V8 ,RWD well priced and designed to succeed in USA. Once that model was established they expanded the range progressively. Lexus have never really sold in Europe where traditional prestige brands rule.
Australian market would probably give Genesis a go if it was priced better , in the US V8 is 50k and a V6 38k.

A horrible looking car.Did they get inspiration from Aston Martin for the badge on the front and what is with the low rent analog clock on the dash facia to tell me the time.

Badge looks more like a Bentley copy, with a rip off S class style grille.
