I. have my doubts the tall skinnies will filter through to the larger cars, super economy cars maybe.

if you drive on a super smooth hwy

those rims and tyres would last about a week on some of our country roads

No no no no no, I am sure I read somewhere that there is no need to cars to be able to drive on anything other than super smooth highways.......

Kinda makes sense.

You can still have a high profile tyre. Its just about making the contact patch longer rather than wider so that the friction is in the natural direction of the wheel.

You can still Buy a Landcrusier with Tall Skinnies, steel wheels of course.. but proves they could suit our country roads,
but yes the pictured ones look suited to smaller cars that probably only have 165 wide tyres now so why go wider as you go taller?

But wide tyres means you can go around corners faster... less need to brake, no need to build up speed again...

that's saving fuel! xD
