Sounds like your just after a 'change'. Maybe do something drastic to your XR, like different wheels or different colour?
Problem is unless I'm going to drop serious cash on the car which I don't these isn't much to do. I've done a custom soundsystem install, coilover suspension, bigger brakes, done the whole different spoiler, front bar, bonnet, and performance wise as many bolt ons as the motor will handle not much more I can do

And then I've enjoyed it I've done skid pan days, gone to the drags and daily driven it. Now I'm that bored of it I ride my motor bike every day I even rode yesterday in a thunder storm (and enjoyed it... Think i'm sick)

Trust me...you won't get bored...unless of course a truly sorted and tight chassis that can make the most of every kilowatt is "boring"...
Spend up big on your Falcon, and to be blunt, it's really just another Falcon...

Me? I'd pick a Stagea wagon...you can get one that's a virtual GTR all wheel drive twin turbo underneath the family car wagon styling...

As a safety point they don't stack as well as a BA in a crash and that would have me pick the Ford with the amount of dead beat drivers out there.

But it’s your choice in this decision.

Ignore what everyone has said. Suggest you get on skylines aus forum, do some research, and make up your own mind.

I had a 32 gtr. Modded. It was good on fuel unless you put your boot into it. Great chassis, strong box, reliable (with maintainance)...

Cops will leave you alone unless you're being an idiot. Regardless of what some people on here might say, stereotypes are often incorrect...

Just watch the turbo timer: it's illegal and will void your insurance too.

Which car is better? Depends on condition: but the aftermarket support is immense for the r34, neos the best non rb26 donk, easy to drop ls1 in them - as I said, look at the skylines forum and go from there.

That's why I said "drastic" change! Make it into a more appealing car for you. Wack on a bigger turbo, paint it candy apple red and do tan cream leather all over the interior!!

Or sell it spend some more coin on a new 335 GT lol

I wish I had the coin for a 335... That's about 18 months off. Dunno I'm after something a little different for a while. And then the skyline would work well bathe I could turn it into a track car and go drifting

One of my first cheap shitboxes was a RX7 series 2. 13b Turbo. mild port etc etc.. cost a huge $5,500. Was disgustingly quick. Dad made me sell it. 17yr old shouldnt have had one he says lol.
You will NOT regret the move to a skyline. They are just different cars, both have good and bad points.

Just dont limit bash it too often. Oil pumps are shocking in these and its an expensive process doing it. Because its not just an oil pump you'll be changing.

Don't get me wrong I love Skylines and my next car will hopefully be a GTR but those 4 door things just look terrible.

If you want to do it do it properly and get a 32 or 33 GTR, they aren't that much more and are a much better base to modify imo.

If you want/need a 4 door turbo then you really can't go past what you have.

The R34 is such a bland car! I'm yet to see a nice example (GTR Vspec is almost there) especially in 4 door. Go a stagea for something a little different or maybe an Evo9

Went and had a look at the skyline, was in fairly bad condition. Motor seemed alright was surprisingly smooth coming onto boost. The body left a bit to be desired.

Might keep looking around not sure exactly what i'm after. Might even just buy a new motorbike instead lol

I've scraped the idea of spending money on a car, I just bought a 98 lancer for 120 bucks. Mechanically sound just needs a new head light and front bumper from very light front end damage and it's got 6 months rego so way I see it it's just about cost me nothing. It'll make a perfect little daily for the next 6 months or so while I'm not on the bike. Time to sell the turbo and start saving for that gt335

Gt335 will be worth it in the end.

Have you considered a a V35 or V36 Skyline? The USA Infinity equivalents ...

I am slowly starting to shop around for a V36 370GT S or SP ... after driving a clean one I was seriously surprised how crap my newish FG XR6 really is ...
