Default New Racing Game To Feature Aussie Classics

I don't know if anyone is into video games but there's a game (simulation based) coming out on Xbox 360 called Forza Motorsport 4.
If anyone hasn't played the earlier games check it out.

Anyway, this will be the first time our classic cars will be featuring in a game and the first announcement is.....the Ford Falcon XB GT Coupe!
Quote:
Forza Garage Round 1: Whether you are a fan of post-apocalyptic driving movies or historic Australian touring car racing, or just appreciate fine Australian musclecars, join us in welcoming an Australian car famous the world over: the 1973 Ford XB Falcon GT. Also welcome back some cousins of Holden’s cars, the 2005 Vauxhall Monaro VXR and 2006 Vauxhall Astra VXR.
The first of the Aussie car pics:

If rumours are correct, we will be also getting the Ford XY GTHO, HK GTS Monaro, VL Walkinshaw and perhaps a Torana as well and there's rumour of Mount Panorama making it in too.
Other cars that are to be featured are things like 70's Ford Gran Torino, 65 Ford Mustang GT, 80's BMW M635csi and a multitude of others...
At the moment, Forza 3 features some V8 Supercars (Holden and Ford) and the Holden W427. As I said though, Forza 4 will now also include the classics as well.
The game comes out in October.

Forza Motorsport 4

I for one am an avid racing game fan and I am absolutely stoked about this!

Agreed.
I played Forza motorsport 4 at Tech Ed last week and while it looked nice, i much preferred GT5.

Hopefully at least one of the modern FPV's makes it (HSV W427 already in it).

I wonder what the overseas reaction would be if they put the F6, GS or SP ute in. With available engine upgrades being (depending on what car they put in) being the 5.4L V8, i6T and 5.0L V8S.

I have Forza 2 & 3, so i'll probably get 4.

GT5 lost it for me, too much 1/2 completed content and hardly any new content since release.

Forza 4 is a must purchase for me.

Rumours are just that, and they take off stupidly quickly when it comes to games like this.

the above GT would have been an easy win with it being so closely related to its Torino brother.

With EA purchasing the rights to porsche, and including Mount Panorama in NFS Shift2, could they have purchased sole rights to using Bathurst? :(

I wish they would port that game to PC.

I think I'll skip this one - have all the other Forza's but annoyed that my G25 isn't supported by Microsoft.

This member posted a download link, with instruction, on how to do it myself. One week on, the unit hasn't played up once. Three different dealers told me to virtually 'Live with it.

I really wish I had the Xbox instead of the Playstation, Forza just seems so much better than Grand Turismo.

Always thought a "Bathurst" game would sell like hot cakes in Australia, and probably overseas too for the novelty factor.

Imagine it...the track in all configurations from the early days to the current track, with all cars from down through the years of various eras. You could even choose to "go back in time" as it were and race, say, a modern V8 supercar with the XY HO's, Bathurst Monaros, and E49 Chargers of another era, or vice versa.

As long as it had other atcc/v8sc tracks.

Throw in Australian f3, formula ford, gt3 as well possibly.

I have a mate with Rfactor and he has downloaded the aussie track pack, has about 4 different types of bathurst, (one without the walls at the top and no chase). I've driven on it: XYGTHO, Mustang, skylines, bmw, V8SC. etc
