This might be in right German (not sure), but this aren't right here in Australia. Also, both BWM & Merc have said smaller Turbo petrol engines are the way to go over diesel engines in the future. The German's words not mine!!

Falcon needed diesel years ago. I don’t think developing diesel now (which would take 2-3 years, going on EB4 & Diesel Territory development lead times) is the right next step. I think Ford have it right with EB4 looking 2-4 years ahead

The turbo is another matter all together. Maybe there could be 2 levels to the XR. The base model which you can have in either 4 or 6 configuration. It could be the old badge of the Falcon S. Then the XR6T for more power and it is maybe badged XR6. That way you have the premium power products in the Ford range wearing the "XR" badge. XR4 Focus, XR5 Mondeo, XR6 Falcon, and XR8 Falcon ( ). This could then give the XR badge that something special again, something that sets it apart from the rest of the range.

The XR nameplate has gone from Fiesta, Focus and Mondeo. Future models will keep their ST nameplate from Europe.

Poll should be changed to would you buy an XR4 Turbo Falcon - there are lots of things people would like to see, but to purchase is a different matter entirley.

I for one would like to see a GTHO - But could I afford to buy one - No.
