Hey people! My AU2 XR6 Manual has started making a loud noise when i boot it hard
 : It tends to do it easier when im turning aswell. It does sound like its coming from the rear drivers side. I will get under it tomorrow to check it out and see if anything looks sus but i was wondering if any1 else has had this b4? The car has only done 70k aswell! Thanks |

is it a VCT if so check the rear shock mounts in the boot more then likely they are stuffed

Would it make a difference if i had a full tank of fuel? It wont make the noise when i have a full tank
|

The spider gears went in my ba lsd diff after about 15,00 and would make a god awful noise when turning only.

i get a loud cracking noise from the my au11 manual if i get up around 3500rpm and dump the clutch it make a horrible crack from under the car somewhere.
and if i gear down coming into corner eg put it in 2nd at 80klms it makes the same noise. my solution is i will wait for it to break whatever it is then i will know what the noise was

Ive got that exact same noise.. sounds more like your snapping a tooth on the diffgear or something lol.. but its definately from the rear under the car, i get it when i dump from anything over 3500rpm, or suddenly boot it around a corner. I too would like to know what it is........ went into a diff place, nothing was found.. had suspension checked nothing was found.. still got that snapping sound... |
