Default RIP Bruce Ruxton

There’s so much that can be said about ol’ Bruce. The no BS president of the Victorian RSL and all round good bloke.

Bruce, may your politically incorrect phrases live long in the Australian vernacular.

A true gentleman and a man who fought for what he believed in.

RIP.

RIP Bruce you ruffled a few feathers over the years but you said what you belived. it takes a man of integrity to stand by what he belives when others are so critical

While the basic Ford Six was code named Barra, the Turbo version clearly deserved its very own moniker – again enter Gordon Barfield.
We asked him if the engine had actually been called “Seagull” and how that came about.
“Actually it was just call “Gull”, because I named it that. Because we knew it was going to poo on everything”.

Farewell "Bren Gun", always stood up for what he believed in and for the average digger and Australian.

There goes a Champion. I was fortunate enough to know Bruce and was even able to personally deliver my rendition of the old "Fast Forward" version of him when I was a kid.

A real Gentleman, honest as the day is long and the balls to tell it like it is. Not many of them around anymore.

Rest in Peace Bruce, and thanks.

We need more Bruce Ruxtons to step forward and make the pretentious and self important 'cafe latte' crowd a little nervous.

RIP Bruce, you were the real deal.

Well said mate !! He put an enormous amount of effort into ensuring ex serviceman & their dependants were properly looked after. He had to ruffle the occasional feather to do so - but invariably got the end result.

Edited and quoted for truth.

R.I.P. Mr Ruxton - you've fought the good fight...now it's time for a rest.
