A lot of money for something that old. But it will sit in a museum for all the enjoy and not end up lowered with big fat rims, canon exhaust and a tray full of subs

Id rather them do that than protect dying categories or makes. Obviously it took alot to move it from the hands of the owner for many reasons, so that was a fair price at the time.

A beautiful vehicle, just imagine the number of people who will now be able to view it.
Well done Ford!

While the basic Ford Six was code named Barra, the Turbo version clearly deserved its very own moniker – again enter Gordon Barfield.
We asked him if the engine had actually been called “Seagull” and how that came about.
“Actually it was just call “Gull”, because I named it that. Because we knew it was going to poo on everything”.

What to say, that is outstanding and the restoration looks incredible. Hope it ends up in a museum where many can enjoy looking at that piece of history.

Was it Ford or the Henry Ford Museum that bought it? The museum would make more sense, they recently restored the Indy winning Lotus-Ford
