Control is awesome once you get over the maths (root locus plots are mc homo, but useful). For a running assignment we had to design a control system for a radio teloscope dish, not for just moving the thing, but tracking satellites etc. The field also follows closely to the lines of system design using the program Matlab Simulink. Oh and going to UQ St Lucia (the big campus) and staying at King's College, about a 5 min walk away.
