Default tinting

hey all im thinking about tinting my rear tailights..
i have series 1 au falcon rear lights so there is an orange indicator butim assuming a clear bulb?
if i paint over these with tinting when the indicators are being used will you be able to see orange? or will i have to get orange bulbs?
also is tiniting illegal?
Cheers,

Tinting is illegal, but if done very lightly you can get away with it.

The cans all say on them 'FOR OFF ROAD USE ONLY'

you have been warned.

Would not even bother with tinting tail lights. Waste of time, money and resources.

Spend the money elsewhere.

If you really are that determined to do it, then light coat them, and I mean light, then take some time to fully consider the effect both at day and at nighttime before coating them again, I believe it does not come off easily, and new tail lights is the only way tofix it if you stuff them right up.

Did i mention its a defect and a fine from the police.

Although illegal, on black cars a slight tint can look damn good.

I must admit it looks pretty flash on my girl. It's called nightshades, and yes is for "off road use only".
Give it a light sand (I used 1500), just to help it adhere. I gave 2 very light coats and it came up really good. It's designed so that even tho the lens is dark, the light is allowed to penetrate.
I still have ample light for my indicators and stop/tails. You will notice not as much projected light from your reversing lights, but it's still visible if someone else is looking.
And yes. Do be wary of cops. A small few will do you just to be buggers, but others will make a point if they have to stop you for anything else.
