The car is getting a 'facial', it's not ready yet.

I believe last time this question was asked it turned into a massive debate and the thread was closed!

I'm looking forward to seeing the article but I think it was Roy said that he wanted to make sure all the facts were right so it was taking a bit longer than expected....

rest easy Pottery Beige!

Unfortunately the car was touched before the current owner got it

It was painted the wrong shade of green (ie not calypso green) and had other stuff done to it

Current owner is trying to restore it to its correct factory condition I believe. nothing more, nothing less

Thanks George, Wasn't aware of that, all is explained then, fairly passionate about the XA's and what this car means to US.. If its already been touched then there is nothing wrong touching it back in the right direction!!!

I think Roy is making sure everything is spot on to do this rare machine justice .

no-ones been able to photograph the car for a very long time let alone do a full feature so another couple of months won't hurt .

Spot on XBCOOL.

Anyways part one will be Street Fords issue 63: History of the car which will inlcude old pics and interviews with every owner and some other notables.

I will only post in relation to this car when the next features will be out, and since 63 is a little way away I didn't announce it as yet.

In issue 57 I included a pic of the car as she sits today and explained where we were at in regards to the articles etc.

I'm not going to chat about it anymore as usually these threads turn to rubbish.

Roy
