make your own shift kit mine cost me about $12 do a search for instructions
with the other $788 get an ebay redback exhaust with tip $250 delivered if you can find one
with the rest of the money buy a diff from an AU XR6 HP (3.45 lsd) approx $500 from a wrecker but you will need to call alot of places to get one
oh and with the left over $38 buy a BA intake snorkel form ford

i see you have a catback and a tickford snorkel..
personally of the list you stated, i would go with the springs, for the money youre spending i dont think its worth doing the cam.. getting something decent requires a tune which will set you back $500+... then cost of the cam, shims if you get a regrind.. labour if you dont want to put it in yourself
perhaps you can get an xr6 cam? they are from memory around 200 bucks and you will get a few kw out of that
what are your plans for the lsd diff mate? are you going to leave the 3.45 diff gears in there or are you planning to put in perhaps 3.7s or 3.9s?

other options... have you thought about extractors? maybe a high flow cat to go with it?
i just did my tax 3 hours ago, i have $794 coming my way

what about a momo or none momo xr wheel? none momo should be, at most, $160 for a momo around... 500? spings would be awesome, but interior mods are nice to have though depends on what you want most. but if its just out of those three, id say spings like stattic said.

Hey George,

The first mod I did was my suspension. I personally think it was the best choice as I got to feel the enjoyment of pushing the car thru the twisties heaps quicker. Power is something that will always come later. Plus its also something that will need more research on. Springs, shocks and sways are the order of the day. If you cant afford all 3, just go springs for now.

Best mod to do and makes your car look tougher at the same time. ;)

That's a hell of alotta goodies for $800! Nice work mate!

You'll really feel the difference with some 3.7's, Although if the cost includes fitting the 3.7's I think it becomes almost too good to be true!

Go 3.9's or 4.11's. I went 3.9's and wish I went 4.11's or higher.
Other than that, what you said is a great list.
$250 left over will also allow you to buy an XR6 HP cam, and it takes about an hour to fit yourself, pretty basic stuff really.

There's a set of 4 currently for sale in the FS forum, I've got a spare of the same rims that I can't use anymore because it won't fit over my brake setup, if you wanted to buy it let me know.

I drive 40km each way to work and back on the highway 6 days a week, and drive a 600km round trip every three weeks. I average 550km to a tank usually (mixed driving) with all my mods, and have got up to 680km to a tank. Its not as bad as people say.

Worried about top speed? It would still top out over 240km/h, Cant see an N/A AU getting there without a big stretch of road. Shift kit and trans cooler look the goods too, nothing better than a nice shifting tranny.

i have a question... about 4.11s or even 3.9s... at what speed will my acceleration start to be hampered? im assuming itd be maybe 180km+? ive pretty much decided on getting at least 3.9s, just want to make sure it will still have balls on the highway, im not looking at racing people at 200kph, just dont wanna feel like a slug if i wanna overtake

and auIIfutura, you gonna do the suspension or buy the other bits and pieces first?

yeh mate im buying bit to make my driveline abit better, then ill concentrate on suspension bits.

aaaaaaaaaand that what im worried about the rpm whith a taller ratio, then fuel consumption will be greater, as i got over 700k's per 100 on my last trip.
i average 500 around town.

Well with all the work done on mine, I average 11L/100km, and can get 10. I have 3.9's and it sits on 2350 @ 100km/h. It does 14.6 @ 96mph, idles like an 8, and drives like a stocker.
