Default Head gaskets

Hows it goin people.
I'v got an EB 6 with cam, head work, exhaust, chip and bbm manifold, problem being ive just blown the head gasket with some thanks to some debrit going through the engine. Anyway ive got everything all good to go back together but i am considering one of your steel head gaskets but there are 2 things i would like to know firstly about them. One is do they resist 'blowing' more than a conventional gasket and secondly are they thinner causing a raise in compression.
Also are the spark plugs you offer colder than standard ones i have had trouble with them fouling up on my car.
Any help would be great.

Hi,

The head gaskets in the 4 litre don't typically blow out, they simply break down into mush when the engine heats up and cools down. The temp varienced cause the heads to grow longer and shorter, the gasket rubs against itself and simply breaks down. The tripple plate steel gaskets slide against themselves and resist breakdown.

Quite simply it is a 90% bullet proof system of stopping leaks.

The gasket thickness is .025" compared to most which are .060" this raises the compression about .3 in most cases...ie 9.35 to 9.65.

The plugs will foul if cam is to big and idle is rich. Can also be caused by excessive fuel pressure or poor condition ecu. Sometimes Shell Optimax has a bad habbit of fouling plugs, even in old 302 windsors.

Are these gaskets different to the factory Ford AU MLS gasket?
