Default Scissor doors

does nyone think scissor doors would work on an E-Series, ive seen a picture of a car with front scissor doors and normal back doors it looks good but i was thinking of also replacing the back doors with suicide doors if it would work.

they have kits to do the conversion but it requires a bit of welding. You'd have to paint wherever you welded as well. IMO it would look better on a 2 door car.

E series front doors are too "short" to make a scissor door work... it'd be a right royal pain in the *** to get in and out of...

Why not turn it into a 2door and have suicide doors like the Mcbeth Magna.... all you have to do is swap the B pillars side to side, and use the front of the badck door blended into the back of the front doors to get the suicide hinging....

Only way i could see scissor doors working on an E series would be to cut the doors in half about where the rubbing strip is and weld the bottom of the door to the rest of the car.

Hmmm, I have a mate with a Toyota Sera, and they have dpoors like that...sure they look cool, but they are really arkward to get in and out of, and if someone parks too close to you, the door hydrolic struts are a bit too powerful, and if you're not careful you'll dent someones car.
