Default Dyno Straps

G'day,

I have been seeing heaps about variation in dyno shops and the way the cars are strapped down...I'm the first to admit I know very little about how a dyno is set up to do a "whatever"...I was just thinking if some sort of pressure sensor/gauge could be used as a industry standard to strap down a car to a specific tension?? is there a whole lot more to this argument that I'm missing? if so enlighten me.

If this has been raised somewhere ... apoligies in advance.

They should be strapped down tight enough to stay in contact with the rollers, if the car is allowed to ride up on the front roller it will give a higher power reading...
