Default Jay LENO's Chrysler with V12 tank engine

Have a look at this monster at Pebbles Beach Concours d'Elegance.
V12 28.4 litres. He reckons he's driven it at 150mph.

Haha what a machine!

Reminds me of Rod Hadfield's Chev with a 27 litre Merlin engine.

I'd gladly lose 6 inches and be left with 3 to own this thing.
Here it is on youtube too

That's what I thought it had in it (merlin).
But why choose a tank engine? It will only produce a lot of torque.

Choose a Merlin! Or an Aero engine.

A friend of mine had a Radial tank engine (just like in a old single prop plane), man, think it was a crap load of cylinders too.
Now that would be funny in a car.

But Leno's a car nut. If ever there was an avid car collector, it's him. He is just full of antiquial cars. Squillions of dollars worth.
But hey, he has the mula, that's what rules!
I see you have watched the "American Choppers" show, they did a bike for him, they showed all the cars he had. It was done over a year or 3 ago.
Nice collection. But this is by far - unique.

Ok, here's a nice try at a radial engine. Let's see Leno get this one.

One poster says "enviromental waste" hahaha, watch the greenies go nuts about it.

jay leno's car was built by a coupla guys calling themselves the blastolene brothers. they build oversized hotrods from scratch using truck components, they also have a 1930's indycar with a tank engine in it as well. it's having ridiculously oversized just for the fun of it. supposedly these guys cut some corners in building the tank car though, they used a radiator hose for an oil line and it blew on the way home from jay picking it up. The entire liquid contents of the engine got dumped on the side of the freeway. Also, Jay recently supercharged it (because it didn't have enough power already), and got Detroit-Allison, the gearbox mob, to build him a transmission from their parts bin, so he would have something that has the strength, but also allows him to get up to decent speeds.

AHahaha, first thing I noticed. Maybe they "de-rated" it, maybe too powerful to drive?

Should have had a turbo each Cylinder, yeah baby!

Jay Leno - total car fiend

God bless him!

Also had a chuckle watching the above video as the car that pulls out behind him is identical to my UK car
