Hi guys I was wondering if all auxr6 come standard with a tickford snorkel (with the tickford logo) my auII xr6 doesn't have the tickford logo on it and I thought it might just be a standard au snorkel. If so i guess i should invest in the xr6t snorkel?

My AU3 XR6 came with a standard snorkel. Theres one on Ebay at the moment.

AFAIK they were supposed to maybe yours has been changed at some time? there are also snorkles the same size but without the wings maybe you have one of those?

the XR8 has the tickford winged large intake snorkel
the XR6 and all over falcons had the tiny standard item the XR6T item is the same as the XR8 item minus wings

Easy the standard six, v8 1 doesnt fit your whole hand in and the tickford,xr8,turbo 1 your whole hand fits no worries with room to spare

Well i guess it might depend on the size of your hand
 Seeing as i have small girly hands and i can only fit four fingers in the opening it must be the standard intake. Time to search for a bigger one.... Thanks guys. |

I also got a hold of an ef airbox lid to see the difference with mine the ef lid opening is a lot larger than the au one 1 have, the ef one has a tube inside it that pulls air from the middle of the filter. The end of the tube is about the same diameter as the opening from my xr6 airbox to the pipes that go to the t/b but the ef opening that the piping clamps to is closer to the size of piping itself. is it possible to modify my xr lid to make the opening less restrictive like the ef one? Should I get an ef lid to cut out the internal tube to make it less restrictive (i have since given back the ef lid)?
