Default Wow, these arent expensive . . . . . .

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Genuine-EB-GT...QQcmdZViewItem

You've gotta be kidding.

Also, why wouldnt they fit on the XD properly? I thought they had they same offset from XW or XR or whatever it was to EL?

I think that price sounds reasonable, because EB GT wheels are very rare. Unlike the EL GT rims, they don't have copies everywhere, so if you want genuine EB GT wheels, you basically have to go genuine. Also, considering there were only a couple of hundred EB GTs built, and most are still on the road, even these are very difficult to find.

The Tyre Factory actually did make copies for a brief period back in 2000/2001. I remember pricing a set when I was like 14. I think they were like $1650 brand new fitted and balanced.

Not many choices for e-series though. Notice the huge numbers of e-series getting around with EL GT copies, BA XR or GT-P copies. That's because the wheel choices for e-series are limited due to their fairly unique offset. I reckon these would be ideal for someone who wants 17's but doesn't want the same as what everyone else is buying.

I trial fitted 17x8.5 ford rims on my P6 (XC) and they don't fit the front spindles. The rims would need a 3-5mm spacer to clear the upper balljoint.
