Default Does Fuel Make a Difference?

Just wondering on everyones opinions. Would higher octane fuel make a difference in pre knock sensor Falcons with minimal mods like mine?
Cheers guys.

generally - no! but if you get it tuned to run on higher octane then you may notice a slight increase in power and/or economy. the extra cost is usually a detterent for most people but some of the premium fuels do run better and are kinder on the internals of your engine. at the end of the day its up to you and whether or not you want to spend the extra for a relatively small increase in engine performance.

just for the record i run bp ultimate with aftermarket ecu tuned to suit.

Depends on the motor and whats done to it, if its basic probably not really going to affect it, but higher performance engines do like higher octane fuel more.

my car (almost stock) likes premium alot more than regular, it runs smoother and quieter and slightly better fuel economy
