Default FM Modulator Whistle

Hiya all, i recently put a 7" screen and dvd in my fiesta and wanted to fm modulate the audio thru the stereo but has a good awful whistle noise coming thru so i scrapped that idea. does anyone know why this would happen and a way around it??

Welcome to the forum.... and nope i wouldnt have a clue. Think your the first to do the screen in a fiesta....where abouts you from?

Run the power cables away from the singal wires, and spend the extra money on getting shielded cables.

Check your grouding too.

i m from brisbane, i tried a modulator that worked on batteries and has the noise with no input hooked up. it works fine in a vx commodore i thought it may have been a faulty modulator. but nope.
