Default Ea Instrument Cluster Km

Hey guys just a quick question, ive got the ghia cluster in my car with ***kms on it. If i change the cluster to a new one will it change the kms aswell?

yes...the kms are stored in the cluster itself. thats why when i cracked my lcd screen in my cluster it only showed 18000km, so wanting it to all be right i swaped the lcd not the whole cluster. Thats why on ebay n stuff you see clusters advertised with a certain amount of kms.
well thats the case in ef and el's anyway.......not too sure bout ea's, eb's etc, i would think it wood be the same otherwise when you put it in the odometre will go crazy winding(analog in ea-ed right?) up to the right amount of kms.
theres my two cents anyway

change cluster, you get the k's on the one you are replacing it with.

remembering guys that the ea ghia cluster is digi. So if i change the Lcd km part on the cluster it should be good?

you get what the cluster says, yes you can swap the just digi panel in an EA digi cluster and the k's stored in the rom will show up as expected.
