Get rid of the white stripes, white bonnet stickers and silver mesh and it would look great.

In summary - got any blacker?

i agree,i see a white G220 around home, dumped with 20's and it looks so much better than that one. I think HSV even screwed up the grange, a stato or caprice dumped with big rims looks so much better than one with a body kit, i reckon anyhow.
different though thats for sure.

Saw it yesterday, it looks crap IMO. The front bar does not suit it all, neither do the stripes. The whole car is dark blue but you see the front and its got the silver on the buldge, stripes, front bar etc and it looks out of place and unbalanced, because the rear only has the little splash of silver in the stripes. Just makes it look tacky. Ditch the stripes and chrome the silver parts on the front bar to match the rest of the Fairlanes chrome and it may work.

Quads look good though.

If it had the full boykit, all body colour, big rims and some chrome detailing, it would look hot, sorta like that Galaxie 540 from a few years ago.

I removed the stripes, see below. Kind of gets boring towards the rear. Perhaps a lighter colour would show it off better.

Also, it has the little air intake thingy at the rear wheel arch under the rear door. Do you think the side skirt is a custom job for this LWB?

They look like GT sideskirts with that vent at the back. Looks better without the stripes but all the silver on the front bar looks out of place on a nearly all black car. If the splitter and the edge of the lower grille were black with just the mesh chromed it would look better.

That pic without the stripes is a great start.

It needs... Black mirrors, lose the Chrome. Wheels are ok, but a nice set of Mesh rims would look alot better. Needs a GT rear bar.

I've got plans to do the same thing in a couple of years. Silhouette or Mercury Silver Fairlane, BF GT bodykit, bonnet bulge, AWC bobtail spoiler, quad tips, Koya Rush (or similar) rims 19" minimum, and PD charged.

Oh yeah....

Correct me I am wrong but you cant fit a GT rear bar because of the number plate being in the bar and not in the bootlid. Unless you customise the rear bar or change bootlids, but it would lokk to close to a GT not a Fairlane.

That'd be a small hurdle, sure. But when you go to all that trouble in the first plate, mounting the plate wouldn't be a big issue.

(I'd prolly modify the bootlid to falcon spec, colour code the chrome strips under the tailights)

and make it look more like a falcon??

not hard to cut out and plastic weld the numberplate section of the bar into a GT one

I've seen a XR6 with a Fairlane rear bar and bootlid, I presume it was just a bolt on fit, so should be easy enough to do the reverse on a Fairlane. If you wanted to...

Leave the GT bumper, sideskirts, strips and chrome mirror covers off, put on some nice 19s, FPV suspension and put a Boss 290 or F6 270 under the bonnet and this is what Force 6 & 8 should be IMO.

Looks ok, but I personally don't like it, makes it look too much like a falcon IMO. I think that the fairlanes like this look mare classy, as it keeps with the luxury theme.Something like this would be more expensive and harder to do though.

A user named "Blutura" did it.

Here's the second half:
