It's just typical of the people who like to bash trump. The public are also free to make up their own mind. No government makes health decisions that people can't make for themselves. There are millions of Americans taking this very seriously but that doesn't make for an exciting headline.

The national cabinet was established to deal with this and for the most part we have dealt with it pretty good. Obviously given our experience it is a lot more complicated to go from from 6 states and 2 territories to 50+ in the US but it seems like Trump plays favourites and has no interest in establishing consensus. I don't think there has been any good faith approach to dealing with it in the US from Trump. By that I mean getting all the governors in a room physical or virtual like we have. Then as you say you have to get the public on side in a country that is taught from day one they are exceptional, have all these constitutional rights, and seemingly have no concept of collective responsibility. No wonder it is a cluster **** over there. |

Did Scott Morrison come out and claim the virus is fake? Did Morrison tell Australians the virus is "just a flu" and is not as bad as 'they' are saying? Did Morrison tell Australians on numerous occasions not to wear a mask? Did Morrison ask people to gather in huge numbers and not bother about social distancing or not wear a mask? Did Morrison tell us back in January that it will all be over in a month or two? Did Morrison falsely claim that the number of infections were "just a handful" when in fact they were much, much more? Did Morrison falsely claim that the COVID deaths are overstated when they weren't?
No, Morrison didn't. But one thing Morrison and Trump do have in common is that they both used the pandemic to play political games. They both tried to divide and conquer. Trump was much more successful than Morrison with that tactic. |

Why do you remind me of Roger from American Dad? Is it the foaming at the mouth or the TDS? I don't know for sure, but it certainly looks like a lack of understanding of State Governance. |
