Since the recent upgrade to the forum a number of user have had difficulty maintaining a login - effectively after logging in they are returned straight to the login page.
Without going into the long details this is caused by the upgraded version treating cookies differently and thus the old ones became invalid. Below are instructions for each browse to delete the old cookies and get a new one. INDIVIDUAL COOKIES ONLY Note: Some of the instructions in the all cookies section below, also cover individual or selective deletion. Internet Explorer (most versions except IE9)
Firefox To delete cookies for one site:
Opera Click on Manage cookies to delete specific cookies or cookies from specific domains. Safari Choose Preferences from Safari menu Select Security icon Press Show Cookies button Select the Cookies to be deleted from the list Press Delete button DELETE ALL COOKIES Internet Explorer 9 To delete cookies
Firefox To delete all cookies stored on your computer:
Google Chrome -settings -advanced settings -content settings -all cookies and site data -remove all Safari 5 (quick method)1

TELEPHONES Android Phones (some may be different) For those trying to clear cookies on Android phones: Step 1 Start up the Android web browser. Step 2 Push the “Menu” on the phone to bring up the options for the web browser. Step 3 Select the “More” options in the lower right hand corner. Step 4 The “More” option has a lot of features. The one you want is the “Settings” function. Select that option. Step 5 In the next screen you will see all of the settings for the browser. Scroll down until you find the one that says “Clear all cookie data”. Select that option. Step 6 You phone will now ask if you really want to clear all of the cookie data. Just select “OK” and all of the internet cookies will be deleted. Mobile Safari (iPhone, iPad etc.)
Cheers Russ
