after plenty of sanding & cleaning up all the cutouts it is close to being ready.
the main area of sanding was where i used the aluminium as it had a couple of ripples in it  with this area nearly right it was out with the dye & 240 grit paper. with this done i decided to make a slight alteration, there was a slight step at the rear that i wasn't happy with so i filled it in.  at the same time i filled a couple of small defects.  it's not far away from being ready, once i smooth these area in i will wet and dry sand it. weather permitting i'll get this done tomorrow & then wax it up ready to start making the new bonnet
