Default The best laid plans

G'Day,
Off topic I know, but y'all know i had my Datto Nationals over Easter in Warwick QLD.
Friday was open practice day, which we had issues with the car but ironed most of them out- the main being a shagged brake master cylinder. But i still got to run, and Morgan Park in Warwick is an awesome track. Tight and twisty.

Saturday we replaced it whilst the concourse was on and Sunday was the track day. Sat arvo was meant to be drags but it got rained out, so they were run Sunday.

The car was double-entered so we both were playing, and a quick adjustment of the clutch saw it sitting beautifully for my times. What could go wrong???????

Motiv8 went from this..........

To this..............

He is bruised but otherwise unharmed, but peeved at himself. But,that's racing and he is alright, which is far more important than any car.
Another club member said to him right before he went out "now bring it back in one piece" to which he replied "if i don't then it's 1-all".... :

Dunno what I wanna do- worry about that later. For now we'll just come home, push the trailer out the back and toss some ideas around.

The silver lining was that, for the second nationals running I again won my class.

See you all soon................

Another study found Australians drink, on average, 22 gallons of alcohol a year.
That means, on average, Australians get about 41 miles to the gallon.

Kind of makes you proud to be an aussie.
