Default Ferrari destroyed in Lilydale. Anyone know what happened?

Just caught the end of a story on the news about some Ferrari that had been totalled on the Warburton Highway today (I think it was today) in Lilydale and how police are looking for a BF GTP ('or similar', apparently).

Anyone catch the full story? That Ferrari looked pretty messy.

The Police are calling for witnesses and anyone who saw a silver BA or BF GT allegedly involved in "drag racing" the Ferrari..

Where was the mention the driver of the Ferrari was a "Hoon", guess "Hoons" don't drive Ferrari's.....

Unfortunate then again if you are going to speed excessively on a public road accidents will happen

Cranners did you see the alleged GTP?

Maybe the Ferrari was one of this cars you can hire

Nah this was earlier in the afternoon and was just out of Lilydale heading towards Chirnside Park , i have never seen a car going this hard and fast on an open road ever. And the noise it was making was similar to a F1.

Well i had a Lecture to get to at Swinburne Lilydale at 1pm and i left home about 12.30, so i would have seen the car at about 12.30-12.45. But this is about 5-10km's in the opposite direction to where it crashed on the Warburton Hwy.

From what i have heard it came from a work shop in Ringwood just of New street. The guy was known to be a bit of a lead foot. Just goes to show you, just because you can afford to by one doesn't mean you can drive.

You know what's gonna happen now... HOONS! BLAME THE HOONS! Clearly V8's are dangerous, from now on all vehicles should be 500cc 2 cylinders. Top speed - a safe 50kph. :

It doesnt help the cause when 2 high performance cars are allegedly involved in high speed "drag racing" and results in a double fatality though....
