Who uses a car cover and would you recommend a specific brand for use on black car?
Wanna keep dust off and protect it as much as possible but avoid scratches and scuffs. |

I have been using CoverCraft for a number of years. Ford even offered CoverCraft covers as options for Sprint's.

Aim for the FormFit for the softest material on the paint. You can also choose the material cover.

The very best option is a carcoon, it also keeps mice etc out of the engine bay and therefore no damage to the wiring loom - car is as clean as the day you put it in....even after 12 months
|

I have used Autotechnica. Really good but difficult to put on.
I second the carcoon option. |

Car covers can be a phaf to put on and take off. This is is how I manage to do it -
 Firstly, unhook the cover from the front and back bumpers.  Fold the left and right hand sides of the cover to form a strip down the center of the vehicle, making sure the inner material is faced outwards.  Then roll the cover up. I find rolling towards the base of the windscreen is the easiest way.  Work smoothly and carefully, no tugging! Putting on the cover is a reverse of this process, rolling the cover back towards the boot, folding outwards then tucking the cover over the wing mirrors and bumpers. Doing it this way makes putting it back on much easier because you don't need to guess which end is which, avoiding fumbling and potentially causing inadvertent damage by dragging it across to the paint.

Thats exactly how I do it DFB
 They can be a pain to put on waxed cars.I use the light weight nylon types as a dust cover only. If the cars were subject to any weather I'd splash out on the padded, fitted type to avoid scuffing the paint.
