Garage worker drives customer's $200,000 Bentley into river
Article from: The Courier-Mail A STOCKBROKER had his prized $200,000 Bentley Continental motor written off when it was accidentally driven into a river by staff at a car workshop. The car ended up 1.5m under in the River Lee, at Enfield, North London, when it skidded across a roundabout, smashed through a metal post and careered down a bank into the water. Garage boss Scott Coleman said: ''Something was wrong with the brakes. The owner knows about it.'' For the full story and pictures go to thesun.co.uk

A CITY stockbroker had his Bentley driven into a RIVER by staff at a car workshop yesterday. The £100,000 Continental GT skidded across a ROUNDABOUT, smashed through a metal POST and careered down a bank into the water. The flash motor, a favourite with top footballers, had just been delivered to car graphics firm Totally Dynamic for a bodywork job. But when a staff member went to move the silver Bentley it appears there was a brake fault. The car ended up five-feet under in the River Lee, at Enfield, North London. The driver escaped unhurt. Fire crews were unable to retrieve the two-ton motor. It is expected to be an insurance write-off. Boss Scott Coleman said: “Something was wrong with the brakes. The owner knows about it.”
